At the time of writing, this website sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker on the page.

That is why you are not being shown a consent banner. Under PECR a banner is required before non-essential storage is used — and if nothing non-essential is being stored, a banner asking permission for it is theatre.

• Strictly necessary storage — used to remember a preference you set, such as a collapsed section. Set by this site only, never read by anyone else, and exempt from consent because the site cannot work as asked without it.
• Sign-in storage, on the client dashboard only — holds your session so you are not asked to sign in on every page. Set when you sign in, cleared when you sign out.

If we add analytics, advertising or any third-party embed, this page is updated first and a consent banner appears before those scripts load.

That is the part that matters and the part most sites get wrong. A banner that announces cookies already being set is not consent. Non-essential scripts must not run until you have agreed, refusing has to be as easy as accepting, and there is no pre-ticked box.
